i have mixed feelings about PvE skills. ive thought removal at times would be nice but they are fun to use. do they make the game easier? yeah in a full party of 8 or more people, depending on the area, it makes things way easy. in what has become typical game play of H/H, they help a bit for the short comings of the henchie builds and having 3 PvE skills in a H/H party isnt overpowered. there is many things that have needed to be fixed in the game for a long time, PvE skills were just an easy fix for those problems instead of a total redesign of most of the game. maybe a true fix would be linking the PvE skills to professions as they did with factions/nightfall skills. theres enough EoTN PvE skills that they could link them to a profession, making you be a primary or secondary to use them, and at the same time some of the PvE skills could use a bit of balancing or redesign at the same time to make them work better in that situation.

I fully agree with this statement. However, if PvE skills were removed, bad players lose interest, resulting in them turning to other games. Anet wants to keep their customers hooked, so I don't really see the skills being removed.

PvE skills have made the game more fun for me. And I like having fun so....

Balance yes; Remove no

If you have some reasonable ideas on how to balance the skills we have now, someone might listen. But asking to remove them totally? whaaa?

I wouldn't call pve skills a crutch for bad players, because really, it takes effort to fail at pve. I'd say they're just for extra efficiency.

*Looks at GW*
*Looks at all other ORPG/MMORPG*
*Sees that players in GW with "overpowered" skills still fail 20x+ more compared to players in all other games*

*Dumbfounded by all the nerf/remove posts*
*Looks at the classification of GW*
*Sees CORPG/MMORPG, NOT Strategy/RGS*

Some of them could use balancing but there's some that help to make other skills from becoming useless. Never hear anyone say Fevered Dreams is over powered...

Sounds like another attempt to kill off Discordway.

Bad or Lazy players have the right to enjoy the game too. Just because they don't want to take the time to figure out what skills will be useful in different areas dosen't mean they should have the walking stick taken away from them and basically get told "You play the game this way or your not welcomed to play the game."

Like many have said and what I have said to many, if you don't like the skills nothing is forcing you to use them. No one is forcing you to team up with a player using Discordway or no one is forcing you to team up with someone who has the skills in their skill bar.

Eye of the North skills is what makes Eye of the North....well Eye of the North. If Anet takes away the Eye of the North skills they might as well just go ahead and close down Eye of the North.

I have two words for his suggestion:

- Dream On.

Skills don't just get removed in this game. They may change, but they are not removed after they go live.
